Career Enlisted Aviator Training Next (CEATN) emerged from the vision of AETC Commander Lt. Gen Kwast and the National Defense Strategy. CEATN is the sister program to Pilot Training Next (PTN) leveraging lessons learned to develop Career Enlisted Aviators into Mach-21 Airman.

CEATN MEETING OF THE MINDS
CEATN will be hosting the first ever "Meeting of the Minds" on VTC with Col. Platt from A3 Force Development . This will help to establish the path forward and help solidify key players. CEATN is still getting its legs under it, but we have a few aces up our sleeve that we are waiting to release.

PROJECT ICARUS SOARS ABOVE THE REST
CEATN in partnership with The 344th Training Squadron’s Career Enlisted Aviator Center of Excellence is leading the way in trying to incorporate modern, innovative and 21st century technology to it’s 3 level technical training courses. To quote the National Defense Strategy, “By investing in a modern and agile approach to training, the future of our enlisted aircrew force will develop a culture of lethal performance that will generate decisive and sustained U.S. military advantages. We cannot expect success fighting tomorrow’s conflicts with yesterday’s weapons or equipment.”

CAREER ENLISTED AVIATOR TRAINING NEXT (CEATN) COINED AETC FORCE DEVELOPMENT INNOVATION INITIATIVE
AETC/A3 Force Development has officially selected CEATN and the next TRAINING NEXT innovation collaboration following the success of Pilot Training Next (PTN). The Career Enlisted Aviator Career Field Manager (CFM) has tasked the CEATN team to blaze the trail for all enlisted aviator training.
CEATN will initially focus on identified AETC emphasis areas such as:
Immersive Education
Training Tools
Data-enabled Recruit-Train-Educate Systems
Strategy and Technology Education Partnerships
Transformational Operations and Methods.
CURRENT PROJECTS
PHASE 1
VIRTUAL HANGAR / INTERACTIVE COURSE-WARE DEVELOPMENT
The first major undertaking for CEATN was coined PROJECT ICARUS. This will establish a common platform on which all Career Enlisted Aviators can rapidly develop and implement training across the Air Force. The Virtual Hangar will serve as a non proprietary hub that can be used by any Air Force Agency. This instantly gives Commanders at all levels the tools needed to meet current and emerging requirements.
PHASE 2
CLASSROOM 2.0
As we address Air Force Training hurdles with direct action applications such as... Virtual Reality, Interactive course-ware, and Augmented Reality solutions CEATN is congruently focused on improving the learning environment , scale-ability, and sustainability. We are currently testing modern classroom layouts and working to integrate future technologies in a manner that allows us to train faster, remember longer, and apply better.
PHASE 3
APPLY, MANEUVER, APPLY
With any new innovation we must be willing to apply early, learn and maneuver, and re-attack. If we allow our selves to reach the 100% solution we have already stopped evolving. In phase 3 CEATN will continue to address implantation issues as they arise and push forward.
